Grain "Meat" Recipe from the Ellen Show great for Holidays

Hello, just thought this would be interesting to share.

I love Ellen, have been watching her since season 1 . I don't always get time to watch her but did catch this episode and have been meaning to share this recipe that I watched her personal chef make ( how lucky is she) on her show. What caught my eye mostly was this field roast that is part of the dish. It's a type of grain meat, something that is new too me and something I would like to learn more about. Anyway here is the recipe and you can watch the video, the link is below.

Vegan Roast w/ Veggies and Mashed Potatoes

Red Wine Reduction:
One bottle Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah (don't spend too much)
1 large white onion chopped
1 1/2" thick slice of white onion
1 cup chopped celery
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 cup chopped carrots
2 sprigs of thyme
About 2 tbs. organic flour (all-purpose)
1 cup better than bullion brand (no beef) beef stock (make it strong)
Extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper as needed
First, in a lightly oiled grill pan or small sauté pan, cook the onion slice until it is dark and charred (burnt). Set it aside.
2 tbs. Extra virgin olive oil
Sauté onions until translucent. Add celery and garlic, stir 2 minutes and add flour, stir for 2 minutes.
Add beef stock, red wine, and the remaining ingredients.
Simmer until sauce has gone from purple to brown and is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Strain and set aside

here is where you can get the whole deal

A look at what the Field Roast Looks like.

Another one, close by where I live - I have seen a recipe on here for TVP 'meatloaf' that sounds similar to this, if you go  by the list of ingredients.

I don't have too much to add, except for yesterday I ate about a third of a Field Roast and I'm still stuffed.  It's supposed to be for Thanksgiving.  I generally avoid meat analogs, because I don't like the way they taste, but I like Field Roasts. They are sooooo (x 25) much better than Tofurkey.

Ditto.  I bought mine yesterday.  I'm just making nutritional yeast gravy with mine.
I was confused.  First I thought this was a recipe to make your own Celebration Roast.  ::)

You can make this yourself... (?)

I would love the recipe to make it yourself.  But really the price isn't bad. I'm ordering one for Christmas, the stuffed one looks the best. I was thinking that if Ellen's Chef didn't make his own it must just be easier to order one already made. I don't know! but it would be nice to find the recipe just to see.
