Cheese gone bad?

I bought some Cheezly the other day at a restaurant, not at a store, so it was the only grocery item in my bag, and when I got home I put down my bag and forgot about it. I discovered it probably 30 hours later. I figure it has gone bad, since it's made of tofu and stuff, but I put it in the fridge anyway, just in case. I should probably throw it away, right? I hate to waste it.
Don't you know what we're going to say?
Smell it, test it, it's probably fine!
Yeah, I know. I mean, I've eaten it when it's been moldy before. I just cut off the mold and it was fine. But leaving it out of the fridge scares me more for some reason. Like, you're not even supposed to eat oatmeal that's been left out overnight. At least that's what my mom always said. But maybe it's okay if it's packaged and therefore not exposed to the air? I don't know how this stuff works.
I guess if you die, we'll know for future reference.
Thx for the sacrifice!
What's wrong with leaving oatmeal out? People leave muesli to soak overnight and that has oats in it.
Oatmeal is susceptible to Bacillus cereus contamination. Rice, too.
hope I'm not too late. I've left cheezly out of the fridge for bout 48 hours AND the package was open.
I'd only used a tiny bit and was staying at a B&B that didn't have a fridge in the room and I didn't want to waste the rest (it's expensive stuff!). It smelt ok so I ate it.
I didn't die.
Oooh this is what I wanted to know. Thank you soo much, shell! I guess I'll take the risk since you did and survived. Woo! So why do we even have refrigerators?
aaah, but maybe I did die and this is my ghost posting to make it so I have a vegan friend on the other side!!
Actually thinking about it it may have been out of the fridge even longer. I went to visit my granny on the Wednesday when I had the cheezly, then I stayed in the B&B until Friday morning and I think I put it in the fridge on the friday afternoon. But I may have left it until the Saturday. Whatevs, I ate it.
Haha, right. Well it's good to know that Cheezly is so resilient! I opened the package to see about putting some on the lasagna I was making. It tasted normal so it was good to go. Now, to go eat my lasagna!

When I'm feeling lazy at night I don't put away dinner before bed, if I made a big pot of something.
I have yet to die from this.
