Does a Bay leaf come from a BAY TREE? or...? cuz I google bay leaf tree and I haven't really gotten much....I want to grow one but it would help if I knew where to start.

You are most welcome! I've had one growing in a container for 2 years now. It has been very hearty in my climate (sub-tropical) and insect pests have never bothered it.

People here actually use bay leaves to keep roaches (yuck!) out of grain, pet food, cupboards, etc. They don't like the smell, so they don't bother your food. Much better than roach poison!
It is from a bay laurel plant (small tree).
