so, we didnt get to make the waffles the other day, Were supposed to have them tonight. I accidentally did one CUP of sugar instead of one TABLESPOON of sugar!!! They are way to sweet now...I added some more flour, and the consistancy is still right...but its way to sweet.
Is my only option to like.....dectuple the recipe to get the sugar right? Is there somethign else i can add to help nutraize it?
Personally I would dectuple the recipe, because otherwise you'd be eating a LOT of sugar in each waffle. But besides that make you can add some cornmeal, not sure how well that would work, though.
yeah, i'd probably add more of other things and freeze the extra batter?

Yeah, do that. Or, make a whole bunch of waffles and freeze them - just pop one into the toaster when you want one.

THAT! i've done that... good!
you totally posted this on theppk forum too.
yes i did post in ppk...and on craigslist...I wanted to figure it out before my dad got home....
Id thought about making a ton of waffles and freezing it...but Now Im actually going to try to make the batter into a cake. lol. We ended up having TVP sloppy Joes instead.
Too sweet is an oxymoron. ;)
I particularly like my waffles with vanilla "ice cream" and strawberries- if you freeze these they can be a good dessert base.
