Aloe Vera...herb tea?

I picked up a box of herbal tea today, and didn't really notice what was in it. It said Mint, so I thought I'd like it. When I get a good look at it, I realise it says Mint, Lime and...Aloe Vera? :o
In tea? Now, I know AV is good for your skin, and good for cuts etc. But can you drink it? And what does it do for you?
Somehow I'm afraid the "tea" will come out viscous and weird. Has anyone else had AV tea?
I've never had the tea, but I've drank a lot of aloe vera juice. Its super good for ulcers, heartburn, etc. It's not slimy, but it does have a distinct taste. Kinda sour.
Oh, OK. I'll give it a go tomorrow then. I was thinking of the sticky sap like we spread on burns back home.
Sour is good. Minty sour is probably better.
I too have heard aloe vera juice commonly referred to as a panacea for a wide variety of different ailments. I've heard it's especially good for IBS related symptoms and digestion. It kinda reminds me of apple cider vinegar... when in doubt, just take sip! Couldn't hurt, right? :>
I see big bottles of the juice in the natural food section of the grocery store, but I've never tried it myself. I might be more inclined to try it in a tea form, but I wonder if it's one of those advertising schemes where they just slap a name on the box and include some ______ extract in order to saddleback on the latest health craze. How do they get it in there? Dry out the plant leaves I guess? Weird.
Let us know how it tastes, Yabbit. What brand was it?

It is a bit of all right, as the English used to say. Horniman's which was a Spanish brand and is now part of Sara Lee. The ingredients say: Lemon grass, Peppermint (35%), Spearmint, Natural Lime Aroma (which means what?), Natural Lemon Aroma, Lime (1%), Aloe Vera Extract (0.5%). So yeah, I vote for saddlebacking.
It's tasty anyway, even without sweetening.
Ah ha. I called that one. At leasts it tastes good though, right?
