i accidentally bought an itty bitty jar of preserves so i had to throw in some blackberry jam, too. no biggie. but the bars are probably going to be mostly topping.
This was REALLY good. I used a slice of pita bread instead of actual bread and it worked wonderfully. What I made ended up being about three really good servings.
This was pretty tasty as a one-time thing but I wasn't very satisfied with the final outcome and it was far too time consuming to go into my recipe box. It was delicious, but I'm lazy.
I used kidney beans instead of refried or pinto beans, I used 1.5 tbsp of light chili powder and .5 tbsp of chioptle powder, added some corn, and followed the rest of the recipe the same.
