Are bagels from a bagel store vegan?
I asked if they contained milk or butter and they go no. It's just water, yeast, flour.

yeah, some have an egg wash.
generally the bread itself will be flour, gluten, yeast, salt, maybe sugar, and maybe malt for the boiling water. unless they're store-bought with weird ingredients, there shouldn't be any dairy/eggs in the bread itself.
