I think this is a great name for a book on veganism, living green, the whys and the wherefores.  I'd love to write it, but I'd need your help.

I will be needing citations for it.  I need verifiable sources that I can cite with dates and authors.  Web sources are okay, but names of books with particular pages you think are important is better.  If you have thoughts you really think should be addressed, tell me what they are. 

I don't want to approach this as here is another diet, but rather this is a way of life (not a lifestyle), it is something that those of us who practice it, take very seriously.  I think a section on how to treat a vegan with regard to food choices and what you don't do would be good.  Likewise, some advice for vegans on how to treat omnis (which I think we have down in spades around here).  I think that, in particular, it is important to address the ways in which being an omni contributes to global warming, environmental harm and physical pain to our fellow earthlings.  A section on how to have vegan companions from the dog and cat realm.  A section on vegan groups, what they do, what they stand for, etc.  THat will require their permission, but I don't see that as a problem at this moment.  I need estimated numbers of vegans and vegetarians in the US, the UK and in EU.  It would be nice to note what religious groups promote vegetarianism because there are a couple who do.  How being vegan can lead to increased spiritual awareness of the greater world, and I didn't just say the R (religion) word because that is not what mean here. 

Anything else you can think of?  I'll ask admin if I can post a special email address for you all to use too and if I can post it right here because I don't know the rules regarding this.  I'll be posting this to my website so that you can read it and email comments about things I could have worded better.

I'd love to see this on the bestseller list for the NYT because we need something to go mainstream and I think the time is now.
