Top Chef Masters Vegan Challenge

Did anyone catch the Top Chef Masters last night on Bravo
Their Challenge was to cook a vegan meal for Zooey Deschanel. plus she did not want wheat or soy.
did you see the look on their faces? I thought Art Smiths was asked to cook with live bugs or something. take away his butter and pork fat and he had no idea what to do. he end up buying some packaged rice milk ice cream. Zooey was not impressed. Michael Chiarello won with quinoa pasta
Yeah, I saw that! It was a pretty interesting eposide. I really wish I could have tried Rick's dish, it looked amazing.
I want rick to win. he's the nicest. and he was most open to the vegan dinner.
Gael Greene (the judge) said something to the effect like Zooey was probably so happy since she really can't each much of anything. Not sure what she said it but the tone was like "a vegan diet....what CAN they eat.
crazy. obviously she has not been to vegweb. meat is flavored with plant based foods. we don't flavor our foods with meat.
The male judge with long curly hair said something to the effect of, "Vegan dishes that i've had were just so beige, and his dish burst with colour!"
I was like. . .excuse me. Vegans cook with bloody vegetables. Which are naturally colourful! How can a vegan dish be anything BUT colourful?
The amount of ignorance on that episode amazed me, but hey, I liked the exposure.
I wish I could cook for Zooey Deschanel.
