NVR - What are you reading right now? (Fiction or non-fiction)

I'm reading 'Raising Vegan Children in a Non-vegan World' by Erin Pavlina.
I'm curious what everyone else has their nose in at the moment!  :)

I am on some kind of financial type of kick.
Reading Millionaire Next Door starting tomorrow morning.
Only other book I have in the house I did not read yet is a true crime book by Ann Rule.
Been searching for new books to read cause these two will be done by Thanksgiving.

Did not mean to make a double post.
I just saw Vegan a Go Go flash on the left  sidebar.
Someone gave me that book love it and keep it in my bag I carry with me everywhere.

I'm currently reading Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. It was written in the 14th century, pretty  neat.....

That and the original Beowulf are two of my favourites. Poor Gawain with his love/hate relationship for Arthur...he loves his uncle and respects him as High King, but deep down he knows his own mother should have been queen (Arthur is, after all, a bastard gotten by magical help) and that then he would be heir apparent.

Gawain sort of reminds me of St. Peter in the Gospels--he means extremely well but tends to act before thinking.

I'm reading Beloved by Toni Morrison for my African American Women Novelists class.

And with all this hype about the Twilight series, I've been thinking about giving them a read. To be honest, I'm really curious what the fuss is all about. It would make for an interesting study - what causes girls to go crazy over just a book? It's like Beattlemania, it's insane. And I've heard some negative comments about the portrayal of the heroine, from a feminist standpoint, so I'm curious...

Do post about Twilight if you do start reading the series...  it seems interesting but kind of pop culture, like really mainstream, like Harry Potter..  is it a television series as well?  I don't watch so just curious

it's not a tv series, just a book series. it's FANTASTIC!!! soooo addicting! it took me a while to actually give up and read it, my sister kept hounding me about reading the twilight series. i read the first 3 books in 2 weeks, then i had to take another 2 weeks for the 4th book to drag it out since i didn't want it to end.

but the series is soooo good. i would recommend it to anyone.

The library here is the worst I have ever seen.
I used there online search to see if they had any good vegan reading.
Came up with 4 results and only two were relevant.
Neither were very current.
The public library here lacks funds and donations so they do not get allot of newer books.
For some reason they would not take a few books I offered for the shelves.

They probably think you're some crazy propagandist.

I think that is it.
One of the books I tried to donate was Food Revolution by John Robbins.
So books like that look pretty weird around here in farm country.
