General Mills buys out LaraBar

Hmmm.  I hope it stays a high-quality product.  They kept on Lara, the originator and founder, as creative director so here's to hoping.  I sure wish we could keep and have more small businesses instead of all these big corporations gobbling up and controlling everything though.      :-\

whoa, whats going on with method products?

Yeah, what's up with them?  I love their products!

eta:  is this maybe why? http://www.dld123.com/q&a/index.php?cid=246  That they have synthetics in them, still?

I actually am switching out my Method products to Clorox Greenworks (which is also vegan and not tested on animals.)  I plan to do the same with my HBA stuff and make my own cat food.

i wouldn't say that clorox is vegan.  although the greenworks line might not be tested on animals, clorox tests on animals.  those individual ingredients have been tested on animals by clorox already, so it doesn't really "need" to test the final product on them.

although, i guess it's probably better than getting something else from the same company where the final product was actually tested on animals.

for most of my cleaning i use a solution of distilled white vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle.  it cleans, deodorizes (even my rabbit cages and bun/kittie litter boxes!), works well with windows and mirrors, is safe, non toxic, vegan, "free and clear" of perfumes & dyes (which my wife is horribly allergic to) and dirt cheap!  you don't have to worry about cleaning the chemicals off of eating surfaces of the things my beloved animals will come into contact with.

i also use baking soda.  i use straight vinegar and baking soda for really tough jobs, like cleaning my oven.

you can also use lemon slices to sanitize things because i've read that they have natural antibacterial properties & they have a natural scent that smells clean & yummy.

when we buy commercial products, we have been pretty happy with seventh generation & planet.  they have free and clear stuff that doesn't make my wifey sick and is safe around my animal-babies.

We use the Clorox Greenworks products and they do a good job of cleaning up messes.
