What is the best handbook for transitioning to veganism and why?

Thanks!

I say, it depends on who's interested in veganism and why. I don't think you can pick the "best book" unless you know the person who it's for.

For my sister Skinny Bitch (what initailly appealed to her was losing weight and it's a quick and easy read for a busy person)
For my mom Fast Food Nation followed by Eat to Live (political and health were most important to her)
For my Grandma The China Study (health and affirming that her past vegan diet was the healthiest choice) and then Fast Food Nation

I tend to make a book list for a specific person (and the order they should read in it) based on how I know them.
Follow up books I usually list are:
Morgan Spurlock's Dont' Eat This Book (which is not about vegans but uncovers and reveals alot about SAD) and his wife's book The Great American Detox Diet (also not vegan but mentions it often, since she is vegan)
Diet For a New America to me is one of the most animal rights related books that we have (though not at all compared to others published) so I recommed that for people interested in that.

I'll throw in another vote for "Becoming Vegan." It's a great resource, but it can get a bit dull. You sort of have to approach it like a health and nutrition text book, which is largely what it is.

The cool part, though, is that it has chapters for people at different points in their lives (a pregnanancy chapter, a little kids chapter, a big kids chapter and an older people chapter).

I've also heard Skinny Bitch is good, and plan on picking it up soon! There seems to be a thread about it going around, so you could breeze through that for some insight.
