Hi!
I'm newly vegan and new to the board. I have been a lacto-veg for 15 years and recently made the transition to vegan about 2 months ago. I've been looking for some inspiration in terms of recipes and such because there have been a couple of frustrating moments staring into the cupboards trying to figure out what to snack on. ???
I'm a mom of three boys as well and two are little ovo-lacto vegetarians, my dh is as well. My one teenage son is a meat eater outside of the home only. I'd love to get everyone on the same page or at least in the same chapter! ;D
Ooops, forgot to mention, I am absolutely IN LOVE with baking. It is what I like to do to calm my nerves. So far in these two months I haven't attempted to bake anything vegan because I am a little nervous. I bought some carob, oats and natural sweetener, but no egg replacer yet. Any adviceis welcome.
welcome!
Welcome! As for baking, see if your library has Joy of Vegan Baking!
Welcome! My advice - dive straight in to the baking whith any recipe you find :D My first vegan recipe was a banana cake with no "weird" ingredients...just stuff I already had. And it was awesome! So go for it :)
Nice to meet you! Welcome!
welcome :) egg replacer and apple sauce are awesome for baking... u should try soon :) so many great recipes and snack ideas on vegweb i'm sure you will be fine... i don't like carob chips personally i know some of the organic chocolate chips are vegan (at least O Organics the Safeway brand)
