I tried searching, and didn't come up with any other threads about it. Has anyone heard of or tried "Z Pizza?" My friend had vegan pizza from there last weekend. I didn't try it, but it looked pretty good. Their website says they use all fresh, organic ingredients. They don't list any prices, but I'm sure it's kind of expensive. Anyway, just curious if anyone's tried it.
Lotus, we have one here in Austin and have been a few times. They have good toppings, vegan crust and Daiya cheese. Yum! But two pizzas w/Daiya was expensive, like more than $30 and we weren't even having it delivered. However, on Tuesdays they have a buy one, get one free deal on their specialty pizzas which makes it far more reasonable.
I'm personally not all that crazy about Daiya (too sticky and processed, but that's purely MHO), but if it's your thing then I'd recommend giving it a try!
Z Pizza is really good but pricey... I have yet to try a vegan pizza there but i know they use daiya cheese
i had it on saturday, actually. it was pretty good, but not as good as the ones i make myself (using teese, most of the time), and pretty expensive.
the crust might be as good or better as the recipe on here that uses a beer (quick and easy pizza crust or something?), but they didn't use enough sauce. and the toppings were a little scarce to my liking. the cheese definitely isn't as good as teese.
but it's good to be able to get a pizza delivered while drinking and watching football.
Personally I think the Daiya cheese is awesome!!! Absolutely no "odd" soy aftertaste and the consistency is right on.
I went to zpizza a few days ago for a "cheese" pizza fix and it was soooo good I had to take a pic:

:D
DAMN! Florida never has any of the good veg*n chains! >:(
I looked at their website a couple of weeks ago because there's a Z Pizza by where I shop.
lotus, they do list prices if you go to Order and then the Order Online link for your local place. It seemed kind of expensive and I miss the mythic concept of pizza more than I miss the actual thing.
Z Pizza is what sold my fiance that yes, vegan is yummy!
Their vegan Berkley pizza is awesome.
Tuesdays are the best deal. BOGO. It is definitely worth a try. Particularly when you just can't seem to get motivated to make anything after work.
I have their number in my cell phone, call on the way home and pick it up.
If you sign up on their website, you get $5 off your first pizza. Worth the expense IMO.
Do they do gluten-free as well as vegan?
Do they do gluten-free as well as vegan?
they have gluten free pizza crust i believe
So I finally tried Z Pizza. Cams and I went there last Tuesday for their buy one get one free deal. We got the "Berkeley Vegan." It had tomatoes, zucchini, gardein sausage, and mushrooms...I don't remember what else. It was really good. It was my first time trying Daiya as well. Yum! Regular price is rather expensive, but with the tuesday deal, it's not bad at all...especially since Daiya is so expensive and they use all organic ingredients. I like that they had wheat crust too.
;)b
I like Zpizza. It's so nice to be able to order a pizza out with vegan cheese (although Daiya isn't my favorite cheese for pizza). I almost always go on the bogo day, so it's pretty reasonable then. I usually get the Berkeley Vegan or the Provence (veganized). I've had the Tuscan (veganized), and it's also pretty tasty.
Berkely vagan...mmmmm.... leftovers for breakfast.....
Now I'm hungry.
for real, why doesnt florida have a zpizza?!
:(
I reallllly wish we had some vegan pizza around here.
Wow. There is one of these where my mom lives. We'll have to go next time we visit.
If you sign up to be a member of their Z Tribe they send you coupons. Makes the price a little less painful.
Wait.. deja vu... did I say that already?
