Where can I find spring roll (rice paper) wrappers?

The only ones I have ever seen that looked similar to spring roll wrappers were refrigerated and NOT vegan... I looked in the refrigerated section at the Asian market and didn't find any (well they had 1 brand that i tried before and they didn't work for me)... Are they always in the refrigerated section? Am i missing something? Why didn't the ones I buy work for me? I am so confused...Please help! I want some stinkin' spring rolls already!
I've never seen any vegan ones, either. In two different states, I've seen some (not vegan) located in the refrigerated stuff by the tofu, and other "vegan type" stuff, and in the produce where they put those few tofu-like things, and in the frozen section. They've all had egg, though.
Huh, I find them in Asian stores and also in bigger supermarkets with Asian food sections. They are usually among the rice and nori wrappers in clear plastic packages. That's weird you can't find vegan ones, that's all I've seen of them and I'm in Kansas. I actually just bought a package the other day.
I hope you have better luck finding them!
Rice paper is shelf-stable, so check the aisles at an Asian food store. I recommend the square style over the round style - it's easier to roll and has a nicer finished look. If you have the choice, I'm a fan of the Three Ladies brand. It's decently thick so it doesn't tear and can take extra handling, but it's still thin and see-through.

cool thanks i'll look in the non-refrigerated section next time :)
spring roll wrappers, though, are usually refrigerated or frozen, and are made from wheat flour. You can apparently fry the rice paper ones too, but I see them more often used for "summer rolls" or "fresh rolls." I've only seen vegan rice wrappers, and most of the spring roll wrappers I come across are vegan too.
If you find vegan spring roll wrappers, the best ones are the super thin ones (they usually say something like that on the package). The thick ones are more like giant wonton wrappers.
I buy them in Asian stores here in Holland. Super cheap, GF, and easy to use! Made a yummy vegan stuffing to put them in the other week. DH loved it!

It's funny, because (as I said) I have never seen anything like these, and then last night my mom gave me some of that second brand that someone had given to her (I think from a market). Neat!
Nice! The Rose ones are my runner-up favorite because the market I go to only carries the round ones in that brand.
I looked for them for years and finally found them. I too didn't realize they were shelf stable. That information was helpful for finding them. That said, the only store around here that has them just started carrying them.
