What did you get in your csa?

This is my first year participating in a csa and i love it! have no idea what some of the goodies i get are, but that is half the fun right? a little iron chef style. I am really curious to see what everyone else is getting, since we all live in different areas. I have been getting HUGE yummy walla walla sweet onions that never make it past the salt and cutting board.. some day i will cook with them if my daughter allows me to  ;) and we get the cutest baby carrots, love the purple ones! cherry tomatoes, and some of the most amazing heirlooms i have ever tasted! lots of green beans wax beans, dill, cilantro, parsley, radishes. I will post what i get in today, she is very fast on her deliveries so i never really get the chance to ask her what everything is. oh, she has chickens that are starting to produce eggs so once in a great while i get a few tiny green and brown eggs, which my daughter gets excited about and i make her mini eggs over easy.

Just got my delivery!!

A bunch of red leaf lettece (really can't spell today :D )
lots of fresh shell beans
cherry tomatoes
cucumber
tomatillo
walla walla onion
hot peppers
green beans
wax beans
6 eggs!! green brown and pinkish ones :) River is gonna be excited!

I would like to do a CSA but money is tight right now and I have no clue where to look for one.  Maybe next year I will be able to be able to participate in a local csa.

Your basket sounds great.  It is fun seeing the grrowing seasons change and be able to eat in season. :)

this is how i found mine, i lucked out i guess, b/c it was only $200 for the year, and no work included. she is still really starting up and we had a tough spring so things are ready late, an baskets are rather small. I am hoping they start bulking up, everything is just about ready. :) I am deffinantly going to pre-pay for next year.

I do FarmFresh delivery, which I assume is similar - they deliver whatever produce/bulk items I choose from their available bounty.....
It's $35 a week - and what I get varies every time - its all local and organic, so it's whatever the farmers have available.

Last week I got...

mushrooms
kale
plums
spinach
garlic
potatoes
romaine lettuce
broccoli
green lentils
red lentils
brown basmati rice
