For those who didn't look into the last post everyweek or so I'm going to put up a new ingredient or category of food for people to put down their favorite recipes for. This should help people expand what there eating by seeing what others enjoy.

Between you talking about Pizza and Sarah talking about Daiya, I decided to make a pizza. I used "organic pizza herbs" that I bought at the HFS and added to a can of tomato sauce and used a ready made crust from the company "Alvardo St. Bakery". It was good:

yummy Tweety!
Oh. Yeah. I love vegan pizza. The craving usually hits me suddenly so I resort to making pita pizzas using a tomato paste based sauce (with soysauce, red wine, crushed pepper and Italian seasoning mixed in) and have been either sprinkling nooch on top of my veggies or making the Uncheese cookbook's minute man cheez sauce. Mushrooms and bell pepper = Yum.
Do share your crust recipe, bgs!
pizza is amazing! I'd venture to say that I'm kind of a pizza master....

I wish I was...if I could make a decent crust I'd be well on my way, maybe. The Mediterranean Sweet Potato Pizza crust on this website was good, but I want a "real" crust I can whip out.

word erin! what crust recipe do you use? though i have to admit, the crust recipes with long rising times i skip... i want pizza and fast... i don't want to wait 3 hours for it!
we make pizza pretty much every week! I have tried several different crust recipes, but always come back to Delia Smith's pizza dough recipe....I love it!
We have also spent about a year trying to perfect the tomato sauce for our pizzas. We have decided (for now) that it contains: tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic powder, a dash of hot chilli sauce and fennel powder.
It was amazing before, but since the addition of the fennel.....mmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
I also like oregano in my sauce, but N doesn't.
I tend to make veggie tacos, sushi, curries, soups over and over. Luckily, my husband never complains. My Mom's lentil burritos are something I just love to make.

I make my dough so often, that I don't measure anything anymore, but I think its...
3 cups flour
1 pkg yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2-3 tbs oil
I'm very impatient and rarely let it rise completely, but it still turns out fine....but on the few occasions that I have made it ahead of time and let it do its thing...its been extra amazing!

OFMG OFMG...my pizza today is so so so so so so amaaaazing!!!
I have a lovely Delia/Erin base, my tomatoey sauce with garlic powder, chilli and fennel powder. And topped with facon bits, olives, sweetcorn, onion, mushroom, olive, chilli pepper, pepper/bell pepper/capsicum/whatever the hell you want to call it, garlic chunks, lots and lots of freshly ground black pepper.
Om nom nom nom nom nom! ;D (that's not a grinning smiley that's me nomming lots)
Happy Mother's Day! Okay for this week I thought we'd go with something that I use constantly... Veggie Dip! I have carrots or celery all the time and just recently started using dips for them. Here's my current favorite:
30 grams Nasoyanaise
20 grams Sriacha (probably spelled wrong but you know what I mean)
15 ml (1tbsp) Braggs liquid aminos
The braggs is optional and its really good w/o it but w/it it just adds a little extra something.
P.S really happy w/all the replys for last week those all sound really good!

I have to try and de-gluten this recipe! My pizza crust is the one thing I need to work on making more often, as my husband is a total pizza freak.

your talk of de-glutening pizza dough reminded me of an old issue of vegetarian times that had like five different gluten-free crusts. Heres one I bookmarked from their site, if you look around on there, there may be more
oh yeah, my dip I make hummus the most often, I like vegan Ranch type dressings too. I don't have a link, I think i usually make the recipe from Vegan Lunchbox
