vegan licorice recipe?

I am looking for like a oil free vegan licorice candy recipe like twizzlers but without oil......how do you think i go about this?

Candy making is tricky. Maybe someone has some hints - I remember making taffy as a kid and all we ended up with was hard candy! Anyway, I just wanted to say that Red Vines are oil free, and as far as I can tell, they are vegan (and crazy delicious). They aren't quite as good as twizzlers, I think, but once you get used to them they are quite tasty.
