Vegan fast food french fries?

Are any fast food french fries vegan or even vegetarian? Does anyone know if McDonalds still uses beef flavor in their fries? Sometimes I still have a hankering for total junk food...
I dont have an answer, but another question
What would beef flavoring be doing in fries?
yes Mc Donald's still seasons their fries with beef... it says online somewhere on their website
i believe most other fries are vegan... most fast food restaurants have a separate fryer for french fries... you could always ask... FUCK MC DONALD'S AND THEIR BEEF SEASONED FRIES... WTF!?! beef on fries, ridiculous

That's almost as insane as the chicken and chicken fat in salsa on another thread!!
Beefy fries sound nasty to me, but I know the actual reason why they do it. They used to fry their fries in lard. Because of health concerns, they switched to vegetable oil. This switch altered the taste of the fries though. They use a beef-derived natural flavor to make their fries taste like they are fried in lard instead of vegetable oil.
Unless they have changed lately, Burger King uses chicken-based flavoring in theirs. Most restaurants have seperate fryers for fries because of allergen issues, but will use the fryers however they please if busy. (This is why they won't say fries are gluten free.) I guess it depends on how strict you are and what your other dietary restrictions are.
really BK seasons their fries with chicken? what the hell has this world come too? ughhh
I looked up BK french fries- they don't have anything meat related in the fries' ingredients.
My friend works at Sonic and said that everything is cooked in the same oil. :/
I haven't checked the website but I work at a Mcdonald's and we have seperate fryers for the fries and we only put salt on them. Granted I still don't eat them. The only thing I dare eat there are the apple dippers which are sliced apples in sealed pouches. But I don't know if other Mcdonald's do it different and even if they don't I still wouldn't eat them home-made taste better.
I checked today and 100% confirmed that Mcdonald's fries ARE flavored w/beef flavoring. Its not done there but before they are frozen and sent out to the restaurants.
have you tried these? http://www.oreida.com/products/fast-food.aspx I eat these occasionally (when I have that craving) and they taste really similar to me (although I haven't had real fast food fries in years).

Our store makes a brand of fast food fries and when I'm really craving them I'll get those. They taste extremely similar.
a lot of fries are pre cookedin lard.. its not that they put beef salt or something on them.
If you go to a small shop its possible they order fries that are not pre cooked in lard, maybe they could be vegan. I have found a few places in australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Just look in you frozen food area, forzen fries might have tallow listed on there, which is lard.
Vegan Freak radio said a long time ago that Wendy's fries are vegan.
mmm meat fries.

Lard is pig fat. Tallow is beef or mutton fat.
Just sayin'.
I was pretty sure Wendy's fries were safe. Thanks for verifying VR!
