Vegan alternative to Hershey's Kisses?

Is there one out there...or something fairly similar? The reason being is that I want to make peanut butter blossoms (one of the best Christmas cookies EVER if you don't know of them...) but I found that even Hershey's special dark kisses have milk in them :( Any suggestions? :P
I've never seen a vegan equivalent but you might want to try 3-4 vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips grouped together in their place or even a square of vegan dark chocolate. They won't look exactly the same but if you're just after the taste then one of those might work.
That's what I was planning on doing...and have actually done before. Haha...maybe I could find a kiss shaped mold and make my own (yeah right...not with Hershey's monopoly on the Kiss...just wishful thinking...)
Would mint chocolate mess it up? It's not Hershey's shape per se, but Trader Joe's has dark mint chocolate discs.

Ha! I thought so, too! I just copied it to make for gifts.
Chocolate Mint Kiss Cookies

Well that basic idea would work...only one problem...I don't have a trader joes anywhere in my area ^^; But yeah, I was thinking maybe using a disc or semi-sweet or bittersweet melting chocolate...that would be kiss-like enough for me.
When I was doing cake decorating I used the dark chocolate discs made by Wilton. I bought them at Michael's craft store but I'm sure you can find them other places. They would be the same as the mint ones from TJs minus mint :) they're really good!
when I read the title, my first thought was 'add a lot of wax'.....
fyi - Wilton isn't vegan, if that's a consideration.
The recipe I linked to had an idea for the top part of thumb cookies. When the cookies first come out of the oven, press in the thumbprint depression and then pour in melted chocolate.

Wow! Thanks, HH! I think I have a new favorite blog!
These are kinda pricey, but they are fair trade and organic: http://sjaaks.com/product_molds/show/48

hmm i'm pretty positive i bought vegan dark chocolate melts from Wilton. I know I bought them several times and read the package as well as used them with a friend who is also vegan and they were purchased by her.. maybe they've changed the recipe? This was a few years a go? I did a good search and it looks like they do contain milk, I'm very confused!

They are vegan (except for the sugar, maybe). I didn't like them as much as "real" chocolate, but they get the job done and temper nicely. It's too bad their other flavors aren't artificial enough to be vegan too.
I package I looked at had whey in the dark chocolate, but maybe there are different kinds.
This reminds me of something jenniferhughes wrote a grip of years back, I think in relation to birth control: Vegans don't have sex! We're too busy reading ingredients.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I was wondering if anyone found something that was a worthy substitute?
Also, the dark choc disks from michaels used to be vegan but the last time I went the same bag I used to buy said theres whey in them. boooo
Just-melted thick chocolate in a piping bag, make a depression in the cookie to recieve the dollop of chocolate, pipe in your own "kiss." Voila.
I've got a recipe for peanut butter blossoms and how to make your own vegan "hershey" kisses too. It is pretty simple.
