Soy Reaction

I've been vegan for maybe 6 months now and I think I am having a very adverse reaction to soy... like barf-worthy... has this happened to anyone else? It sucks cause soy is in just about everything I eat so I am constantly feeling sick to my stomach... any way to cure this? do I just have to avoid everything soy? why me?

hrrmmmmmmmmmm...........well I know there are a few in this community who are vegan and soy-sensitive.....they should be able to help you out. But first, I'll look for some previous threads on similar topics.

Soy goes through heavy processing. Have you tested your allergic reaction to edamame (raw/ steamed soybean pods),
if any? If no reaction is would suspect the 'other' ingredients to out beloved soy products.

I can't have a lot of soy because it interacts with my thyroid meds, So i opt to eat less soy and choose rice or almond milk, ice creams made with rice or coconut milks, making my own nooch based cheeses, seitan more often than tofu, and trying to incorporate beans.

I know it doesn't shed much light on the "why" but there are ways around  soy if you find it to be a trouble food for you.

I have made a really good nut loaf in the past.
Raw almonds, cashews, seeds and so on are great!
Protein requirements are really only about aprox 20% or you body in grams.

I think I should be ok protein wise... i love my beans and nuts and such... it just sucks cause soy is so many things that it quickly adds up throughout the day... i've already replaced the soy milk with almond milk... im not really a fan of soy cheese though i love tofutti cream cheese... i def gonna try to steer clear of tofu though cause I start to feel sick while im eating it :(
