Reusing marinades with tofu, seitan, etc.

I have been using some commercial marinades for tofu, seitan, tempeh, and veggies. They all warn against reusing the marinade, but I figure that is because of the bacteria that can be in raw meat. Still, I want to be sure it's okay before i do it. Does anyone know whether it's safe to reuse marinade that you've used to marinate (in the fridge) soy and wheat stuff?
Not an expert, but I'd think you should be okay. As long as it goes right into the fridge instead of sitting on the counter.
i'd also say you're probably good to go.
When I used to eat meat I made the marinade into a sauce/gravy for the meat. Never got sick. I would definitely do the same with a tofu or seitan marinade. Make a gravy thingie!
I reuse my homemade marinades. The only thing I can tell you is that they do get a little tired after the second time you use them, but you can still get more than one use out of them. I think it has to more to do with the crap in flesh that contaminates it and will grow nasties even in the fridge.
Thanks, everyone, it sounds like I will be okay - worst case is, I won't get as much flavor the second time.
