Quinoa?

What is quinoa and where can I find it? I'm a new vegan and am trying to find new and exciting things to eat other than rice and beans LOL... I'm getting a little tired of rice and beans and veggie burgers. Any help would be appricated. Thanks!
Okay, so what's the best way to rinse quinoa? Every time I use the strainer bits of quinoa get stuck. Do you all use cheesecloth or what?

Exactly why I don't rinse it... It is such a pain in the ass I have no clue how to effectively rinse it either :(
When I lived in California, I got my quinoa out of a bulk bin. I never rinsed it, but once it was REALLY bitter. After that, out of instict I rinse. I just don't ever want to experience that awful flavor again :(
That is the main reason they say to rinse it. I found that all packaged sources and most bulk sources these days are not bitter and thus do not require rinsing (although it is probably a good idea).
Quinoa tabouli is my favorite way to eat it.
Here is a tidbit of info about quinoa. It's not a grain. All grains are grasses - quinoa is not.
