Need Help! Eating through a straw.

Hello my Vegan Friends!
My brother was recently in an accident on his bike and has had facial surgery which has left him drinking through a straw for the next few weeks. He's had loads of support from his community; bringing him in vegan friendly foods for him to eat. I'm going to visit him tomorrow and would love to bring him something but other than taking soy yogurt or blended fruits, I'm sort of at a loss of what I can make him.
If anyone can point me to a few good recipes that will give him good nutrition to help him heal, would love the help. Thanks in advance!
Big Sister
I just blended up this soup for my baby and she loved it (I thought it was pretty good blended too!)! It's very nutritious and protein rich with the quinoa, lentils, and greens. I imagine you can blend up lots of soups.

Thanks! That helped me see the recipes broken down too. (I'm at work and only have a few moments to surf the web until I'm busted ha ha.
My suggestions ...
--Pureed soups, like corn chowder, tomato basil and split pea, either homemade or bought at Trader Joe's. Some of the Trader Joe's carton soups are vegan.
--Thinned and pureed Indian foods, like dahl, and maybe some Thai curries
--Mocha frappucinos
--Chocolate tofu mousse made with soft tofu, cocoa powder, sweetener and vanilla with added non-dairy milk to thin it
--Blueberry Greens smoothie on this website
--Peanut butter chocolate shake with some greens and flax seed blended in for nutritional boost
Blended soups are good through a straw: check out the watermelon soup here: http://thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com/2007/09/simply-raw-soups.html
Smoothies through a straw would be good and healthy without soy:
These ideas come from Ani's Raw Food Essentials: http://aniphyo.com/index.php
Fruits blended with water and agave nectar
Basic green smoothie: 2 cups of chopped greens, such as romaine lettuce, kale or collards
2 cups fruits like banana, mango, or blueberries
2 cups water as needed
To sweeten instead of agave try dates
Add 1/2 cup nuts for creamyness (raw)
Add lime for variety
You kind of have to be into this, but blended salads are great. My favorite is Creamed Black Fig salad from www.drfurhman.com. I use five tbs of Bob's Red Mill fig nuggets instead of the whole figs and a fig-infused vinegar I got at the grocery store.
Creamed Black Fig Salad
www.DrFuhrman.com
Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado
1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk
5 ounces package of baby romaine lettuce
4 ice cubes
1 5-ounce package of organic baby spinach
6 dried black mission figs
4 tablespoons Dr. Fuhrman's Black Fig Vinegar
Instructions:
Blend the avocado and soy milk together then add the rest of the ingredients to the blender or Vita-Mix machine and blend until creamy (milkshake smooth). If using a regular blender use a carrot stick as a tool to mix the ingredients so they completely blend.
also smoothies with good things in them like figs and molasses.
If you cook beans with herbs or bay leafs they can be quite tasty and them blend them up of course.
Tofu is great to blend up- silken tofu would be great and also keeps flavours.
