Lemongrass Powder

Has anyone heard of lemongrass powder, or used it themselves? Do you know of any recipes? I'm thinking it might be good in a Thai curry kind of dish. All I know is the bag I bought is smelling up my pantry and I needs to get it in an airtight jar. This makes me wonder if I should be cautious in how much I use. ??? :) Help?
I used to use lemongrass powder in Tom Yum (when I was still a pescatarian). I only had to use a small amount compared to fresh lemongrass stalks. I'd start out with a smallish amount....you can always add more.
Thanks Storm! Mebbe I'll put some into a marinade for tofu... I'll let you know if it works.
I often add this to tofu marinades, but a little does go a long way. I can't imagine I'll ever use up the entire jar!! :-\
I blend:
1/2 to 1/3 cup canola or olive oil
1/4 cup water (or veg broth)
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1-2 T hot thai chili paste
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp lemongrass powder
optional/alternate ingredients:
1 T rice or white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp tumeric
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp coriander
1tsp cumin
This makes enough to marinade 3 lbs of tofu. I created it in an attempt to copy a lemongrass-chili tofu recipe from a local restaurant. Mine is better I think!
Awesome! Thanks, ecsrae, you've saved me from having to think up my own experimental marinade recipe. I happen to have half a block of tofu in the fridge, so I'll try it within the next couple of days. Mm-mm, sounds nice.
Celestial Seasonings puts it in a lot of their herbal teas. You might try that.

O, that's interesting... I used to like their Red Zinger tea, wonder if it was in that. Unfortunately, I tried it again recently, and they've added 'natural flavour' to the ingredients, which makes it taste like fake hibiscus cordial or bubblegum or something. :(

Yeh, why is that, "natural flavours" always taste so fake...
