My favorite "recipe" lately is to buy the herb pizza dough from Trader Joe's, grill it and top it with Nutritional Yeast Cheese Dip/Sauce with a few scoops of tomato sauce mixed into it. I like Tofurkey Italian Sausage and onions on mine like this:

when i go to a restaurant and get pizza, i get no cheese, but use artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers as toppings. the artichoke hearts have a sourness that really mimics cheese!
at home I make up some nooch sauce and drizzle it on the sauce....and use whatever toppings.
I get those cravings too...and usually, the above 2 things cure it!

I crave pizza constantly! I make the dough myself, use BBQ sauce and load up with veggies - then, if I'm feeling in the mood for cheese, I melt a half a block of Follow Your Heart Monterey Jack in a saucepan and pour it on top. They key is to melt it before - and then bake the pizza at a really high temp like 450. If you leave it in long enough, the cheese will brown nicely, like real cheese - its awesome!

mmmm, I buy the herbed pizza dough from Trader Joe's just like VeganChristine! sooo good. I do want to try making my own dough though. And like ErinMonster, I use Follow Your Heart Monterey Jack. I shred it and it melts pretty well, but it doesn't get stringy like dairy cheese.
tofu bruschetta pizza is tasty.
