How Long do cooked beans last in the refridge???

I cooked up 2lbs of dry black beans yesterday, I have them in a covered container in the fridge, I will use them for different recipies....How long will they last in the Fridge???

I made a ton of pinto beans a couple of weeks ago and I had them (and used them) for a week and a half....so I'd say 2 weeks max...but I could be wrong

I usually keep mine for a week then freeze the leftovers (I'm usually ready for a different bean by then anyways..)

I never keep them more than a week, and once that week hits I put them in the freezer in 2 cup containers. Just make sure the beans are covered with liquid (their cooking liquid or water) to make sure they freeze and thaw in perfect shape.

I don't keep beans in the fridge for more than a week, but really I try to eat them as quickly as possible, or freeze them.  At some point I read from a reputable source that 3-5 days was the range for safe storage, with the explanation that cooked beans are pretty susceptible to microbial growth.

speaking of cooked beans, why are some of my beans nice and soft and some are dry and crumbly? they were all cooked in the same pot. what happened?!

I've read that older beans have a hard time getting soft.  That could be why.  I keep my beans in the fridge for probably a week max than freeze the rest

7 days, 11 hours, 28 minutes, and 5 seconds.

(yes, I make a lot of beans from scratch! :D )

gah, that's frustrating. and there isn't really a good way to know how old they are... oh well, they usually turn out fine. it's just annoying to have a whole batch of messed up beans!
