expiration date on tofu

hey all, i have like 4 blocks of tofu that have been in my freezer for a while... (still in water and the packaging) one has a date of december 06, one from march 07 another from april 07. would they have gone bad by now or do you think they are edible? all help is appreciated
It's fine because it's been frozen, sort of in "suspended animation." Freezing does make the tofu kind of yellowish in colour but that doesn't mean a thing, it doesn't affect the product. The advantage to freezing it aside from keeping it for longer is that it's easier to press out the water. Put it under a weighted plate for a hour or so if you really want to get rid of the water.
The question is... when did they go in the freezer?
I have used refrigerated and brick-pack tofu for months after the expiration dates with no bad results. My tofu policy is, if it smells good and looks good and tastes good, it is good!

That's my policy, too. Really, I think of expiration dates as suggested deadlines. Check the smell. You'll know if it's gone bad.
I don't eat anything past the expiration date.
i would say that 6 months in the freezer would be the cut off date.
I agree.
For refridge only, I've used tofu up to month past the "expiry" date with no problem.
I ALWAYS check the smell first though.
