I think sweet and sour is usually a balance of vinegar and sugar (plus a thickener and other ingredients), whereas duck sauce includes some sort of fruit (usually plums or apricots).
Both should be vegan--but always read ingredients, you never know. I think that they are easy enough to make on your own though.

Submitted by: Mary P.
1/2 c all fruit peach or apricot preserves 1/4 c white or cider vinegar 1 T grated peeled ginger 1/3 c finely chopped scallion
Combine preserves, vinegar and ginger in saucepan. Heat to a simmer and simmer gently, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in scallions. Will keep for a couple of weeks in refrigerator.
(From "Sundays at Moosewood Restaurant")
Sweet and Sour Sauce 1 From nealm
1/3 cup vinegar 1/3 cup sugar 2 Tbsp water 1 Tbsp cornstarch dash cardamom or 1/4 tsp fresh ginger Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve cornstarch. Stir over high heat until mixture bubbles and thickens. Serve as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or fried tofu. Preparation time: 10 min (from: http://www.ivu.org/recipes/chinese/sweet-and-sour-sauce1.html)
It was really quite easy to Google, surprisingly.
