Diet/Recipes for a Small Planet
I have the first version of Diet for a Small Planet ...although many of the chapters focus on milk and eggs this book was really helpful to my transition...I gained weight (good weight) on $5 a week and a vegan diet, so it also made it easier to deal with some of the skeptics. Anyway, I really want to buy this book for a friend of mine, but I can't find the original version anymore. I know a lot of the information needs to be updated, so maybe it's for the best, but I really liked the recipes and the format of the original version.
Is there anyone here with both versions who can attest to the relative value of one vs. the other? Personally, I value the book for its recipes and proportions, not so much for its first half. What are your opinions?
Thanks everyone!
I have the original copy as well and I have never read the newer version but I have seen copies of the first one many, many times at the Goodwill store. You might want to check out thrift stores that sell books...usually they are only 99 cents.
They have a lot of copies on amazon.com, some as low as $.01 each! I am not sure if they have the edition you are looking for though. Good luck!
I have old versions of both Diet for a Small Planet and Recipes for a Small Planet. I haven't really read or used either. Want them?
