So, I bought some "dessert tofu" on impulse because it was .99cents. But the problem is...well...now what?
Any fun suggestions? Got any foavourites? Would love to hear 'em :)

I think they're flavored and sweetened, and the texture might be a bit different, too. Like I said, I can't find it, though, so I'm not certain.

My boys eat it straight from the package, like soyogurt. It's not my favourite though.

I'm not sure how thick it is or what the texture is like, but I bet you could puree it if necessary and then let it set up in a pie shell, maybe topped with fresh fruit or chocolate chips.

I would blend it with fruit, or with chocolate... Maybe add a little vanilla too? I have no idea what it tastes like, so you may just have to add and taste between each addition.

I buy dessert tofu a lot - they come in different flavours (original, almond, banana, coconut, peach mango). my fave flavour is definitely COCONUT!!!! it's SOOO good.
I just eat it straight, by the way. but it would go well with fruit, in smoothies, etc.

I eat it as it. Or I add red bean (sweetened) or top with fresh fruit.

Well, you learn something new every day. :D I've never even heard of dessert tofu. I've used tofu to make dessert but I've never bought anything called "dessert tofu" nor have I seen any (that I'm aware of). In the store would it be with the other tofu products or somewhere else?

Gah, thanks to everyone that replied. Sorry I'm so late in replying, I'm internet isn't working in my house.
The tofu is the "orginal" kind, so, unflavoured. I think it's like a silken tofu? I'm not sure, to be honest. I think that maybe I'll use half in a dessert or shake and then maybe half I'll batter and fry (ya know? Like the kind you can get in Japanese restaurants).
Anyway, thank you everyone for you suggestions and comments, much appreciated.

I use this type of tofu a lot as sort of a soy yogurt. I usually puree it with fruit and sometimes a little agave and sometimes some spices (depending on the fruit- cinnamon & ginger go great with peaches!) and then I pour it a into tupperware container and use it like I would soy yogurt- I have it for breakfast with a soaked grain(it varies but usually tritcale, oats, quinoa or barley, ground flax, rice protein powder, and raw nuts sprinkled in. Sometimes I add carob and a little mint extract and some agave or stevia to the tofu and it it as a pudding. It's really versatile- you should totally play around with it!! Ooh, and I blend it with canned pumpkin, agave, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg and it's so delicious-like pumpkin pie!!
