Dairy free, Wheat free and Gluten free Christmas Cake (Gluten Free - General)

What would be a better replacement for eggs in this?

Oil, Applesauce, or Dragonfly's High Protein Egg Substitute (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12346.0)

I made the Delicious Gluten-free Apple-Almond Fruitcake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12884) and it didn't stick together well at all. I'm guessing it was the egg replacer.

The only experience I have with Fruit Cakes is the aforementioned disaster, so any help would be appreciated.
