carrot pulp instead of grated carrot for muffins/loafs?

I juice carrots a lot and wind up with tons of pulp that I throw away. When a recipe says grated carrot can I use the pulp?
How much pulp to grated?
Do you think it would have a gritty taste since its the fiber left over?
