VegWeb Potluck! - Success
Hi folks, after seeing all the New Englanders in owalkerjillo's Where are we all from thread: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=18335.0, I thought - you know what we need? We need a potluck!
So how about it Massachusetts, New Hampshire Rhode Island folks? If you want to pick a date (probably a Saturday late morning). And a place (something public and outdoors - apple picking perhaps), then email eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%76%65%67%77%65%62%2e%70%6f%74%6c%75%63%6b%2e%6e%65%77%65%6e%67%6c%61%6e%64%40%67%6d%61%69%6c%2e%63%6f%6d%22%3e%76%65%67%77%65%62%2e%70%6f%74%6c%75%63%6b%2e%6e%65%77%65%6e%67%6c%61%6e%64%40%67%6d%61%69%6c%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b'))
Ta da! We'll take pics of our AWESOME food and report back! :)
Edit: for a report on the fun, see page 3!
Ahhh... regional debates.
This west coaster lumps everything into the East Coast category. But - since you're discussing it, in which region is Michigan?
your page doesn't really sync up with what Wiki says. but i'm more likely to believe it than wiki 8)
Yes, I believe that Houghton Mifflin publishers is a more reliable source than Wikipedia. ;)

Michigan is in the Midwest: http://www.eduplace.com/ss/maps/pdf/midwestus.pdf
Hey all,
My folks (a.k.a "the Bookfamily" - love it, thanks BP!) will be in the Boston area Nov. 14-26. Dinkfeet and I will be working out some dates for the Grasshopper gathering this weekend at the BVS Vegetarian Foodfest (www.bostonveg.org/foodfest - be there or be square), so we'll let everyone know sometime next week. BVS packs the restaurant every month for their seminars, so there's room for all Vegwebbers who can get to Boston!
:)
Oh you're going to Vegfest! Me too. What Boston veg*n would pass it up? Looking forward to hearing Dr. Gregor at 2PM, he's one smart fellow. He actually came to our apartment for dinner one night back in college when our AR club hosted him for a speech. It was so intimidating because you know he is so knowledgeable about food and health that we were all worried we'd cook something he wouldn't approve of! :o Kinda want to hear Colleen Patrick at 3 PM and Robert Cheeke at 5:10 too if I can last that long. If you let me know what time you'll be where I'll meet up with ya.
-Jamie
Hey! No knocking the apartment! It's been working great for me, and I've got a Murphy bed, what more could you ask for?!?
a real bed?
oh, snap! :P
careful everyone... all this NE vs. Midatlantic banter will get you WARNED!!! :(

Um....I work at HM and I wouldn't necessarily count on us being more reliable :o ::) Of course, I work in the text book division, not trade, so maybe they have more stringent checking than we do. Which, if you think about it, is scary, because we're trying to educate the youth of America....

Oh I will be there at 10am sharp! Check out the Boston Veg Fest thread for my game plan! ;) ;D

actually, i think it's important. there are nonexistant egos and claims at stake! ;)
maybe what we should do... i wonder... is start a (insert whatever region you're going with here) potluck interest group. then, when someone is up for some planning they can send a message out to everyone and we can go from there. that way people who are interested but aren't always up on the threads can be informed.
i was thinking the same thing. there should be a sticky thread, or a whole new tab for regional activities. ill pass it on to yvette....
yay for a (insert regional name which includes any state home to a vegwebber willing to drive to boston for a meal) meet up at grasshopper, lets do it :)

Bookpapa and I are sooooo excited at the prospect of meeting a bunch of VegWebbers! Won't be to long now before we are winging our way to Beantown (which we love, btw).
I know it's been forever since the first Vegweb get together, but I just found more pics from that beautiful day out at the orchard and thought you guys would like to see....awwww, memories ;D ;D

Couldn't help myself ... one more for the night ! ! !
Nice =). Hopefully I can do the video this weekend and present it as well. It is probably going to be in at least 2 separate movies because of how much "footage" we took. Should be fun!
