Baked Tofu Fries

What you need:

a block of tofu (pre-frozen or not, as you like)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lime/lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons vegetarian oyster sauce
1 tablespoon agave syrup or similar sweetener

What you do:

Baked marinated tofu in a fun fun shape.
Press the tofu. Cut it into the shape of fries. Whisk together the other ingredients, and marinate the tofu for half an hour or so.
Put the tofu and marinade into a baking dish and bake at 180° C (350° F) until the marinade is nicely reduced, and the tofu pleasantly chewy.
Serve with salad, rice, potatoes or whatever! :)

This was so easy to make and so tasty! A definite go-to for me in the future!

I liked the recipe, but I'd do it without the marinade in future :)

Huh? Baked... plain... tofu? Tell me you'd flavour it with something. ???

The marinade tastes exactly like oriental flavor top ramen.  I didn't really like it, but my youngest son scarfed it down like there was no tomorrow.

what kind of tofu do you use soft, firm, silken (firm or soft)??? ???

i would say use firm or extra firm. because you are baking them and you really would want them to hold togeterin the marinade also..
