Whisker Walk 2008 for the Lakeland Animal Welfare Society
The Lakeland Animal Welfare Society is holding an event called Whisker Walk 2008 to help raise money and awareness for the Lakeland Animal Shelter and animal hospital here in Wisconsin. If you'd like to join me and others in walking for the Society, the event will be held on September 27th at 10:00 a.m. in Upper Springs Park in Delavan, WI. It's just off Terrace Street (you can track it down on Mapquest or one of those online maps). It's a mile-long walk, and you're welcome to bring your dog or borrow one from a friend :)
Please consider giving to this great place to help them out. They do great work there and I'd love to see them stick around for a long time. Any little bit you can give would help out the abused, neglected, and injured animals that they treat there every day, nurse back to health, and adopt to loving homes.

Oh, and there is another way to donate, too. I have a pledge sheet here, so if you don't have/don't want to use a credit card but do want to give, then you'll need to let me know what your first and last name is, your address, city, state, and zip, and your pledge amount, and I'll add it to my sheet.
I don't really expect a lot of response to this method, since none of you know me and that requires some pretty personal information to be given to me. I'm just presenting it as an option if you want to go that route.
