Took the plunge

New vegan here as of January 1st. I was already a vegetarian and finally made the transition. So far I'm loving this site as there aren't many vegans in my area (Wilmington, NC). Ugh

I'm looking forward to reading tips, recipes, etc on here....already seen the sense of humor you guys have and really love it. :)

Hi, K2theM! Welcome to the vegan side. I'm in SoCal and it doesn't seem like we have vegans here, either (although we must, because we have vegan restaurants).

Nice to have you aboard. I made the transition from ovo-lacto to vegan last January. It's really not that hard and gets easier within a few weeks. Welcome!

I made it a new year's resolution to transition as well! I have the good fortune to live in an area where veganism is quite common - having the support from a dedicated community makes a big difference. Hopefully the forum serves your purposes well enough.
