Hey guys! My name's Bobby! I'm a newly-declared vegan and art student from NJ. Just thought I'd say hello and ask if anyone had any advice for a vegan who's just starting out.

Hi Bobby! Congrats on your awesome choice!

Definitely check out the rest of the forums and the recipes... that'll definitely help solidify your veganism. Also, I suggest reading books like Eating Animals and The Food Revolution to remind yourself why you're vegan and why it's the greatest decision lots of us ever made. And then make some vegan chocolate chip cookies and be very happy. End of story!

Thanks guys, very helpful tips. My transition to veganism's been a little rocky (I guess I'd rather call myself a "vegan in progress") but I'm getting there. Btw i just used a chana masala recipe from this site and it came out beautifully :)

Bobby, it took me about 18 years to transition to veganism, so don't sweat it. LOL I love love chana masala!
