what do you make of this advert for vegtalk (and what is says about veganism)?

http://www.vegtalk.org/promotion/slim_erotic_legs.jpg

I came across this recently, and I've slammed it for a few reasons, but I was wondering what peoples first reactions are on other veggie/vegan based chat forums.

I think its sending very stupid, wrong and dangerous messages, I'll post back after a few replies (or if I don't, pm me and it should go into one of my email addresses and I'll get back to it).

...Or maybe you really do have a mind, but it's been fooling you(?) - Maybe it's a matter of mind, where, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter(?) Eh, if the mind was simple enough to understand, then people would be too simple to understand them, right? ... But when the heart and mind connect and communicate, to quote John Lennon, "the deeper you go, the higher you fly, the higher you fly, the deeper you go" - so come on.....
According to Danaan Parry, "It is not the powerful people who rob others of their rights, it is those who feel powerless inside who must oppress." Perhaps in the case of tinylight's dad, if her dad (and/or family) can make a deeper connection with himself, he may realise that he was raised by parents who believed that whoever had the control had the power, instead of realising that whoever had a connection w/ his or her own power could empower others. So therefore instead of possibly spending a lifetime fighting w/ one another as a way to "get one's power back" tinylight's dad, among others, can tap into their own virtually lmtless supply, - and maybe find some peace(!)
To mr asleep, was my post "about" tinylight's dad, or was it *(more) about possibly finding a deeper connection w/ one's heart and also* asking the source of beliefs of those who may be overpowering? I would say it's *also* more about being (imo) a true compassionate veg*n and standing up for the oppressed and/or bullied. And instead of offering some "I'm sorry" words, which other than a little comforting, what does it do but maybe lead her to go draw a bath, perhaps put on some Billie Holliday, or Linda Ronstadt, and feel sorry for herself? (And therefore probably allows the situation more likelihood of reoccuring.) *I rather offer a verbally luminous sword of introspection to attentively flash at her (perhaps) impudently protuberant papa, where, if he doesn't stand back and check his reign, he may be introduced to a stabbing "pane"... of introspection.*

From my "window", I see the situation as being dangerous to tinylight's right to choose for herself what she puts into her own body. As Aristotle maintained; "the one most affected by a decision is the best judge of it." As a compassionate vegan, I like to stand up for the voiceless, and/or defenceless, and/or the "weaker" one(s). And instead of more or less sitting back and watching, I rather choose to offer some voice to tinylights - similar to how I like to offer some voice and defense for this (imo) bullied advertisement. *(And if asleep and/or anyone else might like to inform me of other websites that this debate may be on, I would be interested to read them.)*
My words to tinylights come not from a position of knowing or judging, but from not knowing, and therefore asking. In your opinion, what does more for the situation? And ok, maybe the myth IS "stupid". But isn't that still a judgement? And w/ all your "stupids" (in 2 threads, at least 7 "stupids" (and one "retarded")) and other slams, it reminds me of Lucy and Violet in "A Charlie Brown X-mas." Charlie's scrawny tree is so "stupid", the skinny legs picture is so "stupid". I believe you may have angrily wrote the word more x than Lucy and Violet and the whole Peanuts gang emoted in the whole holiday special! - But VJ's the judgemental one, huh?  :P
Although, asleep on a sunbeam, I sometimes find your passion rather admireable, there's some "tongue"sten for you to maybe try to lighten up a little(?) *And instead of generating so much heat, maybe with some "tongue"sten, some words of insight and/or illumination, you can maybe begin to generate some light(?!)* Maybe w/ some more light, a more veg*nlike compassion (which imo should be actually more attracted to such a picture b/c of its more perceivable/possible association w/ "weakness", "frailness",  and/or "unhealthiness" -  evoking feelings of empathy.) and some decorously decorative words we can, instead of slaming this picture, (and/or other initially offensive/disagreeable forms of expression) we can also use our light to further discover the difference between looking,.....

...and truly seeing... something,...someone..... and maybe allow the picture to be a sort of centerpiece/attraction of a website - similar to how the scrawny tree became a centerpiece of the Peanuts gang's party.(?)
Finding your passion rather admirable, I wonder what might happen if you were to use it more for good and kindness instead of... slamming and such. (?)
I believe it's your judgements, that, like previously explained, draw a line between that such and such and yourself(s). While I say, like Linus, maybe the tree/ad/person-etc "just needs a little love!" So, while some of you seem to want to draw a line, - I choose to draw a Linus, - to try to further align us, -
and sing a song        (of encouragement).....
