I boiled my tofu then marinaded , then baked it. I used soy sauce half of the tumeric and cumin and a dash of red pepper, because I supposed to be on a bland diet.

I added a cup of  water logged raisins, and my homemade GF mix: white rice flour, blue born flour, and chickpea flour. It seamed too wet so I added 1/4 cup ground flax seeds.

The only replacements I made mine with were 4 pods of ground cardamon, in addition to the cinnamon. And  used 2/3 cup of honey, no sugar.

I tried the low fat version, with half a white onion, and a medium/small eggplant. Instead tomato paste , I added 6 oz of cauliflower sauce I had that had thickened to a paste.

My two substitutions were Bob's red mill gluten free pancake mix for the flour, and sunflower oil and 2 Tablspoons buttery spread for the safflower oil. They were good.
