One unique thing should know about you? I went to university and trained for my first career to be a pilot. I've had a few more career shifts since leaving that path, and they've all brought me closer to what I really want to do with my life - which is to inspire and create more positive energy in the world.

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!) Feeling amazingly healthy and energized!

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb? Banana-Cocoa Smoothie (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5513.0) - it might not sound romantic, but it's chocolate-y and doesn't leave you feeling heavy - just happy and energized.

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? Something really tasty, with lots of healthy fat... I often like to make pizzas because they're fun, so something like this Avocado Pita Pizza (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=11959.0) would be good. I like to make a bunch of different appetizers so that I have a few chances to impress  And probably finish dinne off with something like banana-cocoa ice cream...

Favorite Thanksgiving recipe on VegWeb? African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=28695.0) - sweet potatoes are my favorite part of any holiday meal, and I like finding interesting ways to use them

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet? angel food cake...

#1 Cooking secret/tip? Only 1?!? ok - if you're cooking vegetables with oil, you want to heat the pan up BEFORE you add any oil. The role of oil is to coat the veggies, not the pan. It means that the oil is exposed to heat for less time, and you can use a LOT less because it'll thin out in the heat.

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? Kurt Browning, David Suzuki and the Dalai Lama.

All time favorite restaurant? A bench by the water with a picnic meal. Preferably at sunset

French fries or ice cream? Ice cream all the way! (and by ice cream, I mean frozen banana & raspberries pureed into soft serve)

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? Can I choose hemp milk? If not, I'd go with either almond or rice.

Tofu, tempeh, or seitan? Tempeh - especially the smoked flavor from Green Cuisine in Victoria, BC.
