What’s the best thing about being vegan? I'm not...but one of the nice things about cooking/baking vegan is it is often cheaper than traditional baking...why use an expensive egg, when you can use bakingsoda/powder or healthier applesauce/over ripe banana??

Best/Funniest/Most delicious/Most disastrous experience you've had making a recipe on VegWeb?
hmmmm.....well....as most of you know, I'm often the one who makes the 'alternative' food stuffs for get togethers.....I guess the best one was the second (or was it third?) time I made the tofurkey....I got tofu EVERYWHERE!!! I ran out of a few things in the process of making this beast (I generally use at least 6 lbs of tofu....normally more like 12?) My arms were covered with it, the body was cracking, would not hold together, I was nearing the point of tears in frustration....but, in the end it turned out!! you can see pictures of it on the page!

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet? I have yet to try.....but after hearing about many knights venturing forth, I am contemplating joining the quest to discover/perfect the home-made vegan marshmallow!!
