I have yet to try a Clif Bar, but I'm glad your life is now complete.

OMG - if i woulda known that i would have brought you a clif bar instead of those loaves of bread! you must try them.. and go back to page 2 of this thread for my clif bar 'how-to's' .. VERY important information there!!!

Read and noted. I appreciate your dedication to the Clif Bar. I have to go to Target today, so I may see if they have Clif Bars there, but I don't have the Target Superstore, so I'm not sure if they'll have them or not.

oh.. they will have them.. but they're not with the regular food - they're by the vitamins and supplements, etc.

DOH! I forgot! I've even seen them there before! I spent time (aimlessly) wandering the minimal food aisles... silly me.
I still managed to spend $88, though, and forgot my Target card, so I had to use my debit card. Bad trip overall. :P
How cool that they're making wine now! I like the builder bars personally.
Word of Warning if you leave a Cliff bar in the car in a cold climate like me
It will be like trying to eat a brick.

you also obviously need to go back to page 2 and read my clif bar how-to's.

If the Clif Bar had not frozen, we would not have PPC's enlightened Clif Bar how-to's...
I really need to obtain one in order to do the how-to's. I shall go to TJ's tomorrow. I'm fairly certain it will be cheaper than Target.
eta: Ok, I had to go back to make sure, but I'm stoked that I can microwave any flavor! Yay! I confess, I miss one thing from when I used to eat dairy and that is Portillo's Chocolate Cake-- stick a slice of that in the microwave for like, 10 seconds and it's... it's... well, I won't go as far to say it's anything like the Monte Cristo, but you know. It's delectable. I'm excited to try this vegan alternative, which I'm sure will prove to be equally exquisite.

Frozen Cliff Bar in the car and did not have to option of microwaving it.
I was given a Chocolate Brownie Cliff Bar today
Sure hope it is vegan or the deer will get it.

Nothing, cakes, nothing will ever compare. (Until we go on another adventure and find a new tasty dish!)

I would have saved it and let it warm later. Even if I'd not known of the microwave option, room temp would have been sufficient, no?
I'm almost sure all Clif, Luna, and Lara Bars are vegan. Not 100% sure. But 99.9% sure.
all original style clif bars are vegan.
a couple of the kidz zbars have honey in them (honey graham & s'mores), the others are vegan
some of the mojo & dipped mojo clif bars have honey. (honey roasted peanut -duh, & chocolate peanut dipped)
all the clif builder bars are vegan, too.
all clif nectar bars are vegan (they're like the clif version of larabars.. 5 or fewer ingredients, similar texture)
all luna bars/teacakes/sunrise bars are vegan. the only non-vegan luna stuff is in their 'sport' line: the smoothies have whey protein & the chews have carnuaba wax. their electrolyte splash drinks look vegan except that pesky 'natural flavor'
all lara bars are vegan.
theres a couple new flavors of luna bars! today i picked up a berry almond bar and almost got a white chocolate macadamia nut bar but that was the only flavor not on sale and i didnt feel like paying 2.30 for it... i'll report back after i try the berry almond :)
I have seen the berry almond for a while now akshully, but i have not heard of this white chocolate macadamia variety you speak of... most interesting.

i thought carnuaba wax was ok?

carnauba wax = vegan

cool! i wonder where i got that from..?
anyway - the berry almond luna bar is really good, theres def more berry flavor than almond but it's not overly sweet and theres no fakey taste (prob because it's got a bunch of real berries in it..)

Ooo I haven't seen the berry almond one!! The white chocolate macadamia nut is fantastic. :D They're on sale at the coop this month for $.99, then there is a coupon for $.50 off 2, then I get a discount on top of that, so they're $.55/each for me right now. I've been stocking up.
yes, I approve of the white chocolate macadamia one. At first when I was eating it, it only kind of tasted like white chocolate, not macadamia, but towards the end I was thinkin "this reminds me of something ... ... white chocolate chip macadamia cookies!" It's one of the better flavors, imho. There was only a little bit of waxiness that, for whatever reason, reminded me of when I ate lipstick when I was 3 :-\ but that taste went away.
