Here it is!!!!

I have had this recipe for YEARS on my computer and I was looking for it so I can review it...finally.  Now I can review it.

This has been my stand by spaghetti sauce recipe for years.  I love love love it.  I make it with either fresh or dried basil and it turns out great either way.  I like to make this and add little chunks of seiten to it to use as "meat" balls, and serve over pasta,  so so good.

Way up 2 thumbs up.

I cut way down on the salt and it was absolutely delicious!

I also had to use dried basil- used about a tablespoon.

This sounds great! I'm going to make this tomorrow night. I think I'll add an onion and decrease the amount of salt.

This recipe was delicious. I'm the only vegan in my family and some times my siblings are wary of trying anything vegan but they all loved this recipe. I followed EHARP's advice and used an eighth of the salt, which seemed to go over quite well. I think next time I'll try it with fresh tomatoes though because despite the seasoning the metal taste of the can snuck in. Wonderful recipe all in all, I'm sure we'll be having it again soon! :)

I think this would be excellent with 1/8 the salt.  I would not have included  this much salt; my husband made it following the directions exactly, and it was inedible (and he actually likes salt, but this was too salty for him).  We'll try it next time with 1/4 tsp salt (with more to taste if necessary), and I'm sure it will be 5 stars.
