Super Easy Asparagus!
What you need:
1 pound asparagus, washed and snapped in half
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon garlic powder
What you do:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Place asparagus in a sealable container. Add olive oil, nutritional yeast, and garlic powder, and shake it all up.
3. Pour it all out onto a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
Enjoy! Now wasn't that easy?
Obviously this recipe is really easy to tweak. You can add any other spices you like. You can also scale it down, I often make just one portion and bake it in the toaster oven. Have fun!

SO HOW'D IT GO?
Great recipe, so simple and delicious. Thanks for sharing! :)
This was pretty tasty! Definitely a new take on asparagus! I'll make this again, but try tweaking it a little bit with different spices, I'd really like to give it a spicy kick :)
I'm curious about the use of nutritional yeast. I've only used nutritional yeast in gravy. I guess I have to look into other uses.
On toast with earth balance... on steamed veg, with fresh pepper & garlic salt... in bread dough... on pasta, with basil/ oregano/spinach/ olive oil... in chili... in hot mustard dip, for pretzels... in nacho cheez sauce... blended with jarred/ chopped red bells, for 'pimiento cheez' spread... in cashew parmesan-esque topping... with ground cashews, mustard, Bragg's, hot sauce, smoke flavoring, & (veg) worcestershire sauce, rolled in sliced pecans or almonds for delish 'cheezball'... with vegenaise, ground cashews, roasted garlic, basil, red bells & artichokes, for amazing artichoke dip... on kale chips, with cider vinegar/ grapeseed oil/ sea salt... and ok, i'm not ashamed, i'll admit it: pinched straight from the bag... there are SO many ways to eat the nooch!... gravy is a good start; but DO continue exploring! ;-)

Totally delicious! I put in less garlic powder because my dad's not a big garlic fan (something I will never understand...) and added some oregano and lemon juice.
This was ok, but I think I like my roasted asparagus with just plain ol' salt and pepper much better. And I'm a nutritional yeast lover.
This was amazing... I only had frozen asparagus so I boiled it for a couple minutes to take the "freeze" off, and then I used fresh minced garlic and sprinkled sea salt on the top right before putting it in the oven.
It was amazing! We called it "Asparagus Fries"
I made this recipe last night and I have to make it again tonight. The nutritional yeast gets really chewy and delicious. Thank you so much for posting this recipe.
Very easy. Very delicious. I swear I ate 2 of the five bundles I made for my mom's Christmas party and i don't believe I had leftovers. No salt necessary, btw.
Yum yum yum!!!!!!
