Peggy's Easy Peanut Sauce
What you need:
1 cup very hot water
1 cup peanut butter
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons Bragg's liquid aminos or soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons red curry paste
1" chunk ginger, grated
large dash garlic chili sauce (I use sriracha sauce)
What you do:
Put everything in a bowl and whisk together until smooth. You might want more water to thin out the sauce.
I make this for me and my husband probably once a week. It's really good on whole wheat noodles or soba noodles (this recipes is good for about 1 box pasta). We also love it on roasted brussels sprouts. This is the first recipe i'm posting, hope you like it!
Source of recipe: This peanut sauce is my favorite yummy compromise between the hundreds of different peanut sauce recipes I've seen.

SO HOW'D IT GO?
This sauce was very good, but I think it's best used as a dipping sauce. I tried mixing it with tofu and broccoli and it was really just too much as a main component of the dish. I think it would be excellent as a dip for spring rolls or something similar though.
Great recipe! I like my peanut sauce on the spicier side, so I added a few dashed of cayenne, made my sriracha dash very large, used 2.5 or so tbsp braggs (to pop those other flavors) and added a little more curry - easiest and best tasting peanut sauce i've ever made. Thanks!
Easy and tasted great, used this with my broccoli stir fry
(I omitted the curry paste and chili sauce as I don't like overly spicy foods)
this sounds remarkably like a recipe i use at home. i also add sesame butter. thanks for this.
Mmmmmm! I've tried a bunch of different peanut sauce recipes, and they've all been OK, because peanut sauce is just delicious and you can't go too horribly wrong.
But THIS was far and above the best peanut sauce I've ever tried. I'm never changing a thing. Completely delicious. We ate it over stir-fried broccoli, portabella mushroom slices, carrots, cashew nuts, and wide lo-mein noodles. We couldn't stop eating even after we were full - the flavor was just so good!! Definitely flavorful, perfect consistency, but not at all overwhelming.
The only tiny tiny problem was that there was a little too much ginger, but I didn't measure it carefully and it's more likely my fault than the recipe's.
I've seriously made more than half a dozen different peanut sauce recipes and NONE of them suited my picky husband. Finally I found this one and I will search no more. It was delicious. We ate it with some salad rolls, but I"ll be putting it on much more in the future. Yum and thanks!
yay, im really glad you liked it.
sometimes we put a bunch of hot sauce in when we are craving spice!
Sure was easy. The curry paste and ginger were just barely there, not spicy at all. The ratio of creamy:salty:sweet was perfect; I didn't need to add anything.
