No-Bake Cookies

What you need:

1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup nondairy milk (I use soy)
4 tablespoons cocoa
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oatmeal

What you do:

1. Mix first four ingredients (through sugar) well in pan, and place over lowest heat setting on burner.
2. Once it begins to boil, let boil at least 3 minutes. Stir in peanut butter until melted completely, than add oatmeal, stirring quickly.
3. With two spoons, scoop dough out and lay it down on aluminum foil surface to dry.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I don't know why it doesn't say in the directions...but you are supposed to add it add the beginning with oil, cocoa, and soymilk. I think it should say mix first FOUR ingredientsl, instead of first three. When you first mix them all it is kinda thick, but once you heat it over the burner, it gets syrupy and then you can stir in the pb and oats.

At what point did you add the sugar?

These were so easy and delicious! I have eaten way too many of these since yesterday... >:D

I halved the recipe and added a splash of vanilla and used crunchy pb. Next time I might add a tiny pinchh of salt, my pb is not very salty I guess.

Overall, these are super chocolatey fudgey-ness, and easy to whip up with stuff you have at home right this minute...so make them.

Wow! These are probably the easiest, fastest, sweetest cookies I've ever made. Vegan too! But violet is right, don't forget the sugar. It doesn't tell you when to add it on the recipe, so I put in the first three ingredients, brought it to a boil, added my sugar, and brought it back to a boil to add the peanut butter. I also used chunky peanut butter, but it was still pretty amazing. Perfect for when you need a desert but don't have much time. Made it out of stuff I already had in my kitchen! Gave it 5 stars!

This was good, but a little too much sugar - I'd put in about half as much as recommended. Also - very good with walnuts!

Absolutely delicious! I cooled them in a cake pan instead of as cookies, though, and ate it with a spoon. These wonderfully sated my sugar-chocolate craving at 12:30 this morning. Quick, easy, and scrumptious :-) Yum!

These were great! I made these at a friend's house and she didn't have soymilk so we just used water and they were still delicious. I am going to make these again soon.  :)
