Just made these for breakfast and they were DELICIOUS! We had to find something without yeast as it causes my Mom's arthritis to flair up and these definitely fit the bill. We topped them with a tofu crumble and oooh my goodness, likely one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. They do stay basically the same size as when you put them in so make sure you're putting them in as the size you want! We followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect and so easy, even for a non-chef like myself. Thank you!

I've made probably 10 different variations on these biscuits and they are amazing. For the longest time I would always roll them out and cut them with a cup, but I NEVER do that anymore. Not rolling them out makes fewer biscuits, but they are heartier and require WAY less effort. Some variations I have made, all with success:

Adding rosemary and thyme, and using garlic salt instead of plain salt
Using olive oil instead of margarine
Using wheat flour instead of white flour

These biscuits don't get very big - they stay pretty much the same size they were when you put them in the oven. I get about 8 good-size drop biscuits from this recipe, 12 smallish rolled-and-cut biscuits. I double the recipe most of the time.

These were great! Most importantly easy. I also cut the salt. I planned to with the first batch but forgot and it was way too salty. The second batch that I did cut the salt in half was perfect for me.

This is delicious and quick! I'll definitely made this again.... and again..... and again. My non-vegan parents loved this too.

It's also a great base to add herbs and garlic and maybe even raisins.

I got this recipe from my friend Dino who posted above. Very easy! I used his soymilk + vinegar change & added some Italian Seasoning. Very good and easy! Agree with the others so easy to make your own. I'll definitely use it when I want some quick biscuits and it's easy to half (which I did) when you just need/want a couple & not a lot. I don't have a lot of room in my kitchen so didn't feel like moving things out of the way, so I made them drop biscuits. :)

Just whipped up a batch right now. I subbed out soymilk + vinegar. I also cut the recipe in half, because it's just two people in my apartment. They made three fairly big~ish biscuits.

Changes:

Used 1/2 recipe, so it was just shy of 1/2 cup of soymilk with a splash of vinegar to make buttermilk. Added a bit of cumin and garlic powder. I didn't knead at all. I just mixed it together until it came together.

My soy margarine is in the freezer, because we use it so rarely. I do, however, have a tub of Dalda (vegan ghee) sitting atop my fridge, so I used that instead.

I waited until my oven beeped to let me know it's preheated before mixing the wet with the dry. Once it is all mixed, however, it's freakishly fast to make. Also, because the ingredients are so few, I felt comfortable with adding a couple of things to make them my own. Next time, I think I'll toss in some miso paste and a bit of nutritional yeast to make cheesy biscuits. These are way too easy for words. Love it!

Honestly, it's criminal how fast these suckers come together.

Pictures will follow momentarily.

I just made these biscuits, and they are sooo yummy! I just mixed the dough and dropped heaping spoonsful onto parchment paper and baked. The edges came out a little crispy and the insides are perfectly tender, just like I like 'em.

They're so good, my 3 little canine children are doing a happy dance :-)

this recipe worked well! it happens to be exactly what i was looking for - the least amount of basic ingredients... perfect for when i'm broke because these ingredients are usually what's left in the pantry after everything else is used up. it makes a great, quick bread to go along with the last of veggies and beans for the week. they rose just fine. i did substitute some garlic and onion powder in place of some of the salt - can't really taste it, just not very salty. :)

Exactly, I'm going to call these "broke biscuits" from now on: they're simple and cheap but easy to add some spices and dress them up to go better with veggies and beans.  Great recipe, exactly what I was looking for!
