SO HOW'D IT GO?

This was really good!  I used soy milk instead of water and did not add the peanut butter.  Four minutes in the microwave was not long enough for the soy milk to absorb, I think next time I will add about 2/3 of a cup instead of the full cup.  I can't wait to try it with the peanut butter.

I eat this pretty regularly, and I love it. I use the stove, not the microwave, and it's sooo quick and easy. I mash up a banana and add almond butter. It really only takes a very small bit to fill me up - I almost always over estimate how much I'll eat because it's surprising how filling it is. I don't like it reheated, so I suggest making it fresh every time; it's too easy not to. Sometimes I add coconut milk to it for some added fat, and once I added molasses, which blew my mind with goodness.

I also make this all the time. If you mash your bananas, then it is even better if you let it sit for 15 minutes or more (the flavors intensify this way).

Be careful microwaving ---it can make a big mess if left unattended!

This is unbelievably filling!  Even on an empty stomach I could probably only eat about 2/3 of it.  Here's the nutrition information for 1/3 cup (measured dry) oat bran, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, and 1/2 large banana:

225 kCals, 11 g fat, 37 g carbs, 10 g protein, 7 g fiber

This is a delicious and healthy breakfast, even if it is mightily unattractive in the bowl.  :)

yum!! i had this this morning, and it was good. i think 3 minutes is too long though, cause mine overflowed and i had to clean it up. i added half a banana and 1 tbsp. raisins. i think ill try it with regular All Bran cereal next time.
