Weekly Giveaway: two belts from The Vegan Collection! sandybee is the winner!
Dads need belts. They need neckties and belts. Those are just things that dads need. Some more advanced dads might prefer suspenders but the average dad needs a few good belts. I know it's a cliché gift but dads are nothing if not practical. If you're looking for the perfect non-leather belt for dad, you're in luck. The Vegan Collection (http://thevegancollection.com) has provided us with two of the spiffiest belts around, The Sampras in a medium size in black, and The Captain in a small size in brown. That's one belt for you and one for dad. Since these good looking belts are unisex, they're perfect for all! Hey? It's important to treat yourself well too, as that makes you a better kid!
For a chance to win both belts, and let me know what your Father's Day plans are!
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, June 22nd at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
taking dad out to eat and spending the rest of the day on a road trip to nowhere driving down old back country roads just talking.
Making dad one of his favorite meals, and playing basketball with his new hoop outside...one of his favorite pastimes!
Getting hyped-up for taking my wife and son to their first ever Great Big Sea concert!
Going to visit my Dad in Chicago and cook a veg meal for him and my Mom. (probably my tempeh cacciatore and big crazy insalata mista with my raspberry-truffle dressing). and wine. lots of red wine!
Last weekend we went to their house and grilled out. We took tofu and did 2 different marinades, Annie BBQ sauce (which my parents already had!!!!!), and an Italian marinade. We grilled those, corn on the cob, mushrooms on skewers, and pineapple. They felt the need to make meat, but they still ate a ton of veggies. We also had peas and broccoli from their garden. Oh, and a big salad from their garden, too. I made cookies from VCTOYCJ, and they LOVED them.
I'm still thinking of what gift I can give him. Maybe cook some more for him. I made cinnamon rolls for my mom for Mother's Day.
Unfortunately my Dad is overseas so I will call him on the day. My husband and son ( who is also a dad ) will be the ones I celebrate with.
i am taking my papa out to the local Chinese restaurant so i can have some vegan food and he can still have all the meat he wants! :)
My Dad is across the country so I wont get to see him, just a phone call. The kids and I will be taking care of my husband, yummy food all day, his faves of course, and some games, his pick.
I'm going back to my hometown to have dinner with the family.
Damn! those are some cute belts!!
I'm making my dad a big plate of vegan chocolate chip cookies, taking him out to dinner, and then we're going on a daddy-daughter walk! Hopefully it will be a nice sunny day :) I love my daddy!!
I sadly will be away from my dad on father's day--BUT--the celebration begins early with vegan cookies for him, and when I get back he and I are gonna sit down and watch submarine movies, his favorites. Hunt for Red October, anyone?
We're too far to see each other but I will send him an ecard and maybe we can video chat. But I'll see him in September and do something special then.
iwill most likely be working as it is with the restaurant business - then home to spend time with my family
Make breakfast for my dad, spend some time with him, take him bowling and then dinner at a local vegan restaurant. A small gift as well.
No real father to speak of, so I'm going to spend the day reading and baking and just thinking about going to the gym.
We're going to have an old fashioned vegan family BBQ. Home made tofu burgers, potato salad, watermelon and peach cobbler for dessert! Yummy!!
Dinner with Dad, and bringing over a bottle of Pinot and his favorite oatmeal raisin cookies.
My dad's going to be out of town on Fathers' Day, so we're celebrating a week late. We'll probably go on a picnic.
My Dad is in Florida; so I'll call. His birthday is a couple days later, poor guy.
My husband? Well, we're really broke right now and not eating out much, so I'll probably splurge a little and take him to his favorite restaurant.
